I have always loved and cared deeply for animals starting at a young age. However, my passion for animals came when I adopted my first dog, Charlie. He was severely abused the first three years of his life, and came to me extremely aggressive. With years of training, care and love, I watched this fearful, aggressive dog grow into a loving, trusting animal. At the age of 8, he was diagnosed with a brain disease which caused loss of balance. He ended up in a wheelchair for the last five years of his life.
I relocated to Charleston from Boston, MA 8 years ago. I moved here because Charlie would not have been able to live in Boston with his wheelchair because of the snow. So I packed up and moved to Charleston with no family or friends except for my baby; and because of that move, he lived five more years!
Having Charlie as my best friend for ten years was the most rewarding thing that I have experienced in my lifetime. Because of him, I knew that my calling was to help animals live their best lives and show the owners how to accomplish that!! You could not leave your babies with anyone better than myself, because my love for animals is beyond words!
